A delicately carved Louis XV style pure white Carrara Marble antique Rococo fire surround. The shaped breakfront moulded shelf sits above a panelled serpentine frieze, centred by a floral cartouche framed with acanthus leaves, and flanked by roll topped floral endblocks. The angled scrolled jambs terminating in rolled acanthus detail are supported on sturdy, curved footblocks. French, circa 1880.
