A Victorian chimneypiece in dark grey and white figured St Anne Marble. The moulded shelf of this antique fireplace sits above the plain frieze and is supported by a pair of simple corbels on plain jambs raised on sturdy footblocks.
English, circa 1870.
The St Anne Marble quarries are located at Gougnies, near Charleroi and at Biesme in the province of Namur in Belgium.
