A well proportioned George III chimneypiece in white statuary marble with Sienna marble inlay. The breakfront shelf is supported on the frieze with fluted side panels flanking a central tablet in Siena marble with a high relief carved Putti reclining against a lion in a landscape. The endblocks are finely carved floral Paterae, supported on fluted jambs with Sienna ingrounds. English late19th century.
