A very finely figured Aesthetic Movement cast brass antique fireplace insert set with eight hand painted tiles, four of are depictions of medieval ladies in domestic settings, the other four are of delicate floral design. The central brass panel rand brass surrounds are reminiscent of the designs of Thomas Jeckyll (1827-1881).
