Stock No.15345
A very beautiful and large Louis XVI style six branch ormolu chandelier in the Rococo manner. The central stepped stem, suspended from a delicately cut dish corona resting on a bulbous vase framed amid scrolling foliate detail, is embellished by a set of four cherubic terms above a finely cut enclosed ovoid vessel with flattened, cut orbs below. The six elaborately scrolling arms emanate from a beautifully cut orb which terminates in a pendant knob. Once a gasolier now converted to electricity.
French 19th century.
