A fine and large 18th century Dutch walnut press cupboard of architectural form. The broken pediment with a dentil moulding, is supported by Corinthian pilasters with gilt brass capitals. These frame the double doors with elegant beaded mouldings, which enclose shelves and two short drawers. The base comprises three long drawers, with canted corbel returns.
Dutch, mid-18th century.
A very useful piece of bedroom furniture, could also be converted to provide hanging space.
