An elegant George III style antique mantle finely carved in white Statuary marble with Sienna marble side panels & ingrounds and Sienna fluted frieze panels. The central plaque with Aesop's fable,"The Fox, the Stork and the Water Pitcher ", these have been recently carved, over fluted jambs.
English, circa 1900 and later.
