A tall Louis XVI style fireplace in pure white Statuary Marble decorated with gilt bronze detail. The moulded shelf with canted corners over a panelled frieze and endblocks bordered with continuous gilt pearl beading, centred by oak leaves and olive branch symbolising Victory and Peace, with descending acanthus leaf decoration on the scrolled angled jambs, together with it's original marble kerb.
