A fine Louis XVI chimneypiece in pine. The inverse breakfront shelf is mounted over a frieze which is beautifully carved with trailing olive foliage, and the central motif is a garland of roses over a bow. This is flanked by acanthus paterae typical of the period, over generous acanthus scrolled console jambs.
