A small French Carrara Marble antique fireplace surround in the Louis XVI style with its original ornate cast iron insert. The frieze, centred by a finely carved laurel wreath trailing sprays of laurel to ether side, is flanked by acanthus adorned rounded endblocks above half round attached fluted columned jambs supported on curved footblocks. French, mid 19th century.
