Stock No: 14565
A fine Louis XVI style antique chimneypiece in Carrara Marble, the frieze centred by a plaque in high relief that is deftly carved with a garland of summer flowers gathered by ribbons from which emanates an abundance of scrolled foliage punctuated by further floral motifs. The foliate paterae end blocks rest on console jambs, which culminate in a flourish of finely rendered acanthus leaves. French, circa 1880.
