An unusual and attractive Rococo Revival antique fireplace in the manner of Louis Majorelle (1859 -1926) carved in Carrara Marble. Louis Majorelle was a prolific French designer and later an exponent of Art Nouveau design at the Ecole de Nancy.

Notes: The Nancy School, founded in 1901 by Émile Gallé, Victor Prouvé, Louis Majorelle, Antonin Daum and Eugène Vallin in the city of Nancy in Lorraine, was prominent in the Art Nouveau movement.
