Stock No.16378
A rare 18th century French Louis XV chimneypiece carved from Belgian black marble. The moulded serpentine shelf rests over a dramatic Rococo frieze, carved with a central rocaille motif and foliate flourishes. This is flanked by very unusual endblocks centred by a rose, over canted Rococo jambs.
Belgian, c.1770.
