Stock No.15908
A beautifully carved early Victorian fireplace in pure white statuary marble. The plain shelf sits above a panelled frieze which is centred by a delicately carved tablet which is profusely carved with a basket of flowers in high relief. This is echoed in the endblocks, both are carved with a small posy of flowers. The jambs are panelled in the same manner as the frieze and they rest on plain footblocks.
English. c.1840.
