A decorative Louis XV, Rococo style fire surround in lightly veined Carrara Marble. The shaped and moulded shelf rests above a scrolling frieze centred by a fine, large foliate and floral cartouche flanked by scrolled endblocks above angled panelled jambs terminating with foliate detail above plain footblocks. French, late 19th century.
