A small French antique chimneypiece in the Louis XVI manner finely carved in attractively veined Pavonazza Marble. The breakfront shelf, set above a panelled frieze centred by a tablet with six stylised foliate panels, is flanked by a pair of floral paterae above corbelled, stop fluted jambs resting on neat footblocks. French early 19th century.
