The deeply carved central plaque, set beneath the simple moulded shelf on a plain panelled frieze, is decorated with roses, fruit and orange blossom and is flanked by carved end blocks, one depicting Summer and the other Autumn, The panelled jambs richly carved with hanging, ribbon tied clusters of oak and acorns
