A fine Louis XV style Rococo chimneypiece carved in Carrara Marble together with its original ornate cast iron insert. The serpentine shaped breakfront shelf, with podium to either end, rests above a split panelled frieze with a central shell cartouche flanked by
scrolled foliate endblocks which sit above angled volute jamb terminating in scrolled acanthus feet above curved footblocks. French, late 19th century.
