An elegant 20th century Georgian style chimneypiece in Statuary and inlaid Sienna
and Brocatelle marble.The frieze beneath the breakfront shelf embellished
with inlaid sienna festoons and centred by a tablet of a lidded urn surmounted by
a pair of seated sphinx draped with further festoons. The endblocks with tall vases
above descending inlaid sienna bellflowers on the jambs.
English mid 20th century.
