A pretty and delicate Louis XVI grey veined marble and gilt ormolu decorated fireplace, in the French Regency manner with a charming central plaque depicting large fruited swags, flanked by a beaded ormolu panel frieze and gilt endblock paterae. The jambs are stop fluted, with further light ormolu adornment and an unusual ormolu cuff to the footblock. French, late 19th century.
