A rebuilt George III chimney piece in carved white Statuary and green Connemara marble.The original elements include the whole top section of breakfront shelf, finely carved central plaque of winged Cupid in oval medallion with ribboned drapes, flanked by plain Connemara marble freize panels and carved urn endblockings. Supported on pilasters with orignal florally carved panels with later plain white and green marble returns on replaced plain marble footblocks. Substantially early to mid 19th century with later plain elements.
