An attractive large brass and japanned metal French fireplace insert with highly ornate embossed medieval style figures of a knight and lady on the bow-fronted doors flanked by twin brass panels of embossed leaf and foliate detail and within a Gothic fretwork frame beneath a triptych frieze depicting mythical beasts and shields. French late 19th century.
