A Rococo style iron, steel and brass Victorian fire grate with a high ornate acanthus scrolled backplate with a central oval medallion resting on sheaves of wheat. The two barred bow,fronted grate, above a scrolled, pierced brass apron with acanthus and foliate detail, is supported by a pair of monopodic griffin holding rings in their mouths. English circa 1870.
