A large and impressive Georgian style, steel and brass firebasket, with serpentine front bars. The brass apron is pierced and engraved with a central dragooned urn, between a pair of porpoises surrounded by foliage. Supported on tapered legs with engraved bell flower decoration and urn finials.
English, early 20th century, incorporating earlier elements.
