A carved oak Jacobean open arm hall chair. The arched back panel above a planked seat flanked by downswept arms raised on baluster legs with blocks joined by a foliate craved stretcher. Inspiration from the Rembrandt painting "Return of the Prodigal Son."
English 17th century with later restorations.
